Healthy Salad Delivery Service Opens New Location in Frankfurt: Pottsalat Offers Fresh Bowls and Salads

Bowls and salads instead of Crowne Plaza and Leonardo Hotels: Four Frankfurters open pot salad locations in the Main metropolis

10.07.2023

The salad delivery service Pottsalat from the Ruhr area opens its ninth German location at Eschersheimer Landstrasse 69 in Frankfurt.

Fit Gitte, Spargel Tarzan, Ravi Olli and Killer Kowalski: Frankfurt now has the salad. Because the delivery service Pottsalat, which specializes in healthy salads and bowls, opens its first Hessian location in the state capital. From Tuesday, July 11, Frankfurters can order freshly prepared bowls and salads on the Pottsalat website and have them delivered to their home or office in a climate-neutral manner. Alternatively, customers can pick up their orders during the opening times Monday to Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the location at Eschersheimer Landstraße 69.

“If you can make it in Frankfurt, you can make it anywhere”

“A location in Frankfurt has been our goal for a long time,” explains Pottsalat co-founder Ben Küstner, “because the city has a lively food scene and many people who want to eat healthy and sustainable food not only privately, but also at work .” With the four local partners, the right team has now been found to be able to survive in the metropolis, Küstner continues.

“Being successful in Frankfurt is like being successful in New York,” says Thomas Reupke with conviction. “If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere”. Together with three other partners, Reupke owns the new Pottsalat location, which the four entrepreneurs will operate together as franchisees.

Frankfurt team with worldwide gastro experience

The four entrepreneurs Thomas and Natcha Reupke and Kai and Dominik Trageser bring the necessary experience and skills to manage the Pottsalat site in Frankfurt. Because the Reupke couple and the Trageser brothers come from the hotel industry. “Staff, gastronomy, hygiene and management, these are topics that we know because we have learned about them,” says Kai Trageser, who, as hotel director, built up the Leonardo Hotels group of companies in Germany.

“System catering is a new addition for us,” says Thomas Reupke, who has over 29 years of experience in the international hotel industry in Europe, the Middle East and Asia and most recently steered the fortunes of the Crowne Plaza Frankfurt Congress Hotel in Frankfurt as General Manager. That’s why the four entrepreneurs have been on the road for a few weeks for training in various Pottsalat locations in the Ruhr area and are learning the salad business directly from the three Pottsalat founders personally during ongoing operations.

Goal: One million euros in sales and delivery area to Offenbach and Eschborn

The four entrepreneurs have set themselves high goals for the new location. They want to break the one million euro sales mark in Frankfurt as early as 2024. Around 40 new jobs will be created with the new location in Frankfurt. 20 employees in the catering team prepare the creative salad and bowl creations fresh every day, which customers can order on the Pottsalat website. There are also 20 employees who ensure that the food reaches the customer quickly, freshly and crisply. As in the Ruhr area, deliveries are made climate-neutral with e-bikes and electric scooters.

But the four entrepreneurs do not want to leave it at that. “We want to grow quickly and then expand our delivery area to Offenbach and Eschborn,” says Thomas Reupke. As at other newly opened Pottsalat locations, the salad and bowl specialist wants to deliver at weekends within a month.
