Health reports 1,743 deaths from Covid-19 in 24 hours

The federal Ministry of Health reported that in the last 24 hours there were 1,743 deaths from Covid-19, so there are already a total of 152,016 deaths from this disease.

During the press conference, José Luis Alomía, General Director of Epidemiology, reported 7,165 new infections, for a cumulative 1,778,905 cases.

However, there was an error in the presentation that the secretariat later corrected, since the real figure was 17,165 cases, so as of today they have 1,788,905 infections registered, that is, 10,000 more.

Allomy indicated that there are 1,984,184 estimated cases, of which 106,752 have had symptoms in the last 14 days.

In a press conference, the official added that 1,348,660 people have recovered from this disease.

He added that the positivity rate for Covid-19 tests is 41%, while the lethality for this country is 6%.

He added that the general hospital occupancy for the entire country is 60%, but Mexico City, Guanajuato, the State of Mexico, Hidalgo, Puebla, Nuevo León, Morelos, Guerrero and Nayarit exceed 70%.

On places with a fan, He pointed out that nationwide there is an occupancy of 53%, but CDMX, Nuevo León and Edomex exceed 70%.

Meanwhile, the Undersecretary of Health, Hugo López-Gatell, said that 6,102 vaccines were applied this Tuesday, with which there are a total of 621,005 inoculated people.

After the conference, he published that after performing the antigen and PCR tests, the result was negative for Covid-19, however, he said that he will remain confined after having been in contact with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador who tested positive for the virus.
