Dr. Ahmed Al-Sibki, head of the Health Care Authority, one of the bodies of the comprehensive health insurance system, confirmed that Luxor will enter the new comprehensive health insurance system with (59) family medicine units and centers, in addition to (8) hospitals, who are equipped according to the highest construction standards, and the latest medical devices and supplies To provide medical and health care services to beneficiaries at the highest level, in accordance with the latest international standards.
The head of the General Authority for Health Care and the director of the comprehensive health insurance project said that registration of more than 700,000 citizens in the new comprehensive health insurance system in Luxor had been completed, calling on citizens to quickly register and participate in the system, and open family medicine files, so that they could obtain Medical services in the new system, assuring them that the state will bear those unable.
It is noteworthy that Luxor is one of the five governorates of the first stage (Ismailia, South Sinai, Suez, Luxor, and Aswan), in which registration of citizens started since the first of last October, in preparation for the implementation of the new comprehensive health insurance, in addition to Port Said Governorate, which started the system It out in July last year.
