Health alert in Satu Mare county. The number of cases of respiratory infections and pneumonia increased again in the county, even if very little. Fortunately, however, the number of flu cases has decreased a lot.

Thus, according to the data provided by the Public Health Directorate of Satu Mare, in the week of 04.03-10.03.2024, at the county level, the total number of cases of acute respiratory infections (IACRS, pneumonia and flu) was 743, with a slight increase compared to 695 recorded in the previous week.

The highest incidence rates for IACRS were recorded in the age group 5-14 years (0.45‰), for pneumonia in the age groups 15-49 years and over 65 years (0.11‰), and for influenza in the age groups 2-4 years and 15-49 years (0.01 ‰).

Until 10.03.2024, 12,359 people from at-risk groups were vaccinated against influenza, with self-purchased and compensated vaccine.

At the same time, Covid infections have almost completely disappeared from our county. According to the data provided by the Satu Mare Public Health Directorate, Covid has been almost eradicated in Satu Mare county. At the moment, in our county, the intensity of the COVID-19 infection is low.

The number of positively confirmed cases is decreasing, from 7 cases in the week of 26.02-03.03.2024, to 1 positively confirmed case in the week of 03.04-10.03.2024. Hospitals maintain their preventive measures regarding respiratory infections, both for patients, relatives, and medical staff. The protective mask remains mandatory for all people who have access both in the outpatient clinic and in the hospital.
