Dr. Alaa Eid, head of the Preventive Medicine Sector at the Ministry of Health, said that 3 doses are provided against polio at different ages, and during a telephone interview with the journalist Ahmed Moussa, presenter of the “Ali My Responsibility” program broadcast on the Sada Al-Balad channel, he added: “The Ministry of Health carries out annual campaigns. For polio vaccination, adding: “We aim to raise the immunity of Egyptian and expatriate children.”
The head of the preventive medicine sector indicated that children are vaccinated against polio even if they receive other vaccines, adding: “These campaigns are very important and we have an adequate amount of vaccinations.”
Dr. Alaa Eid confirmed that there are 38 million doses of polio vaccination, which are carried out in two stages to vaccinate 16.7 million children.
