These were people who had a weakened immune system. Two of them also had other diseases. Patient age and identity has not been disclosed.
Call to donate
The Red Cross in Austria is calling on people to donate plasma to achieve more treatments. Up to now, twenty people have been able to receive plasma. Two hundred Austrians have donated plasma to date.

Blood plasma treatment of carriers of the virus has already been tested in several countries, but little medical data is still available to prove its effectiveness.

South Korean doctors reported in early April that two people with major symptoms were cured by the coronavirus after receiving blood plasma from other recovered corona patients. In the Netherlands, too, doctors are looking at blood plasma from healed people. Erasmus MC in Rotterdam announced the end of March with the will start to administer blood plasma.
