The ‘Jackass’ star Bam Margera seems to have settled in his lawsuit against the makers of the TV program. Entertainment website TMZ has been able to view court documents showing that the case has been dropped. According to the entertainment site, this almost certainly indicates a settlement.

Margera dragged Paramount Pictures, MTV and Jackasscreators Johnny Knoxville, Spike Jonze and Jeff Tremaine in court for allegedly forcing him to sign a “wellness contract” to participate in the film Jackass 4: Forever† It stated that the skateboarder, who struggles with addictions, had to take a breathalyzer test three times a day, give urine twice a week and have his hair roots tested regularly.

Margera was fired after he tested positive for Adderall, a drug he takes for his ADHD. According to the actor, the makers of the series had known for a long time that he was taking these drugs. He felt that the “draconian contract would have violated his civil rights”. In the indictment, Margera argued that the contract equated to psychological torture for him and was legally unacceptable. He also compared his contract to that of pop star Britney Spears, who was under her father’s tutelage for years.
