JAKARTA, KOMPAS TV – The former leader of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI), Rizieq Shihab, is known to have been more vocal in scolding a number of witnesses presented by the Public Prosecutor (JPU) during the trial regarding the crowd case.
It is known, at the follow-up trial of the case that ensnared Rizieq Shihab, the prosecutor presented 10 witnesses at the trial at the East Jakarta District Court, Monday (12/4/2021) yesterday.
In general, the attorney of a defendant is more active in seeking out witnesses from the prosecutor in order to defend his client before the Panel of Judges.
However, this is different from the Rizieq Shihab case.
The defendant was even more vocal in scolding witnesses at the trial than his attorney.
Responding to this, Aziz Yanuar, who is a member of Rizieq Shihab’s legal team, gave his opinion regarding his client’s attitude.
