Just a week ago, one of our greatest musical matadors, Václav Neckář (78), was in the hospital due to health problems. But that didn’t stop him from fully devoting himself to his loyal fans and giving concerts. During the performance, where the editorial staff of eXtra.cz was also present, he spread smiles in all directions. He may have forgotten part of his song for a moment, but considering the fact that he was learning to speak again after a stroke, it’s amazing that he manages to sing at all with vigor and a smile.

Vaclav Neckar he was hospitalized at Na Homolce Hospital at the end of July because he felt nauseous. He stopped moving his fingers on one hand and they were tingling, which is why he ended up on drips. Fortunately, it was nothing serious and he was discharged home from the hospital the next day.
“Fortunately, I was released on Friday, my fingers don’t tingle anymore and I’m fine. I don’t know what it was. And now I’m deciding to call Marta. Maybe not until tomorrow, I don’t want to disturb her, so she can have peace of mind for her recovery.” Neckář confided to Blesk newspaper and mentioned that he was also thinking about his friend Marta Kubišová, who was also in the hospital at the time.
A week after hospitalization, he is performing again
Fans do not need to worry about the health of the Czech musician, which he himself proved to them. Exactly one week after being released from the hospital, he started giving concerts. He sang a few of his songs at Kampa, and it was clear that even after a number of health problems, he still has that artist in him, for whom fans are an important part.
He came on stage with a smile on his face, greeted his admirers and started singing his iconic songs. At one point, he forgot a part of one song, but with respect he has performed admirably in learning to speak again after suffering a stroke a few years ago.
