The video dates back to January 16, but investigators have finally managed to unmask the identity of this driver who published his “exploits” on Instagram.
In the short video, it is possible to see that the offender is driving an Audi A5, on a small departmental road limited to 80 near Clermont-Ferrand (Puy-de-Dôme). As he takes out his phone to film the scene, his car’s speedometer reads 219 km / h. Suffice to say that we have already largely passed the stage of simple speeding.
The young man was therefore identified and taken into custody on Wednesday March 3. He admitted the facts to the gendarmes but his case is much more serious. Indeed, the driver is well known to justice since he has already been convicted in the past for driving without a license.
He is therefore now the subject of a summons to court for recidivism, excessive speeding and telephone while driving.
This video may cost him dearly. One thing is for sure, he will think twice before embarking on a new wild rodeo like this as well as proudly posting it on social media.
