“The match at Sparta (Pardubice won 2:1 in overtime) was played by the players. We (in the club management) already knew that (Varaď’s) end would come. The players knew it. There was an incident that I don’t want to divulge. He was the highlight of the fact that we proceeded to change the coach,” said Dědek.
“Pardubice offered Václav Varaď an agreement, we always preferred this way of ending the contract. However, Václav Varaďa did not accept the agreement, so we withdrew from the contract due to non-fulfillment,” reveals Dědek.
On Wednesday, Petr Dědek should be a guest of the program Příklep on Sport.cz, in which he promised to participate on Friday.
As one of the many reasons for the unexpected move, Pardubice stated that Varaďa did not cooperate with the implementation team and should have insulted the players for no reason. Varaďa denied that he insulted the players or members of the implementation team.
But the grandfather insists. Can he prove Varaďa’s insults? “I don’t need to defend it. I experienced it. The people involved are ready to testify if Václav Varaďa wants to go to court. I believe that Václav Varaďa will finally give in and accept the agreement,” says Dědek.
According to him, the club’s management already told Varaď once last year that he was not fulfilling the contract and that it was necessary for him to start doing so. However, according to Dędek, this did not happen. “Things were repeated and escalated into an unbearable situation for the whole club. We didn’t want to break up the club. We had no choice but to take this step. I believe that from a future point of view, this solution is better for Dynamo,” says Dědek.

When asked directly if Varaďa lost the cabin, he responded: “He lost the trust of the management, the entire implementation team.” As a part of this, he lost the trust of his own team. It’s not like the players in Pardubice do whatever they want. They want to work, they respect the set rules. But when the border is overrun, I had to get involved. There was no turning back. We evaluated that it is high time to do it, because otherwise it would cause us more problems,” said Dědek.
“I am in regular contact with several players, I have been following the situation for a long time. Václav Varaďa and I talked about it several times… His path is simply so hard that it is not sustainable in the long term for me. It is unsustainable that members of the implementation team and possibly players are dropping out of its system. A person can be emphatic and strict, but there must be a line that is not crossed. And it was exceeded,” says the head of Dynamo harshly.
