HBO Max removed 5 chapters from South Park for being “offensive” »Hero Network

South Park has just arrived on HBO Max almost entirely, as fans of the feature series realized that five of the most controversial episodes have been completely removed. It should be noted that these episodes have been considered “offensive” because they show representations of religious figures such as the Prophet Muhammad.

This is something that was already seen coming, considering that these chapters have not been present in the arrival of the series on platforms such as Netflix, iTunes, South Park Studios, Comedy Central, Hulu and Amazon Prime Video.

We must bear in mind that within the scriptures of Islam the Prophet Muhammad is strictly prohibited from being represented figuratively. Despite the great controversy, the episode aired in 2005 for the first time without much consequence, being retired years later.

These are the 5 episodes you won’t find on HBO Max:

  • Super Best Friends – Temporada 5
  • Cartoon Wars (Part 1) – Season 10
  • Cartoon Wars (Part 2) – Season 10
  • 200 – Season 14
  • 201 – Season 14

South Park has always been characterized by playing songs without any conceal, considering that it is an animated series for adults -and not for children-, it is normal for creators to take some liberties, however, in recent years there has been a movement to eliminate racism and any kind of xenophobia at the root, so future chapters of this series may be harmed thanks to this.
