Hawks and Kings do business

After Andre Iguodala, another lesser trade saw the light of day in the NBA: the Hawks and Kings traded to trade pivots.

Still a little movement in the NBA even if we are not going to lie, this is not the trade of the year. The fact remains that the Kings finally managed to find a trade to let go of Dewayne Dedmon. Signed during the summer, the pivot asked for his trade in December, unhappy with his playing time. It took several weeks, but Dedmon is no longer a Kings player.

With the pivot, Sacramento sends two draft rounds (2020 Atlanta and that of 2021) to the Hawks against Jabari Parker and Alex Len.

At 31, Dedmon hopes to revive at the Hawks who thus still recover a pivot after Clint Capela. Their rotation already seems to be defined for the future.

For Parker, on the other hand, and even if the interior turns over 15 points on average, it is still a complicated season for the former Buck. If he’s able to score, let’s say defending isn’t his priority. It remains to know its future role in Sacramento.

The Kings nevertheless hope that these two arrivals may be able to help them reverse the trend at the start of the season. We can also see it as a move for the future and more precisely this summer. It took money from the franchise and savings to re-sign Bogdan Bogdanovic. We can say that it was successful, it only needs to convince the interested party now.

We can expect a few more movements by 9 p.m. It will get warmer.
