Hautes-Pyrénées: the health center of Trie isolated from the world for two weeks

Following a cable that would have been cut on December 14, the Maison de la Santé in Trie has been without internet and almost without a telephone since then. The three telephone lines to call the doctors are reduced to a single emergency line installed by Orange Pro. This line becomes saturated quickly and it has become almost impossible to reach the doctors in an emergency in the middle of winter.

Dr. Dupont, one of the Center’s doctors, explains to us that, without the internet, they cannot recover patient records or the results of the analysis laboratories. And he adds: “a technician came 2 weeks ago, but he immediately left without doing anything. We have advised the Medical Association Council that we cannot guarantee continuity of care due to membership difficulties. »

La Maison de Santé de Trie is already struggling with work overload as the sector is in the midst of a bronchiolitis, flu and covid crisis and through lack of luck are currently understaffed due to the absence of Dr Damman who recently broke his arm .
La Maison de Santé is under contract with the Orange professional service which assures doctors, during their daily calls, priority, but without giving a date or a solution to solve the problem urgently.

When questioned, the head of the Orange Midi Pyrénées press service confirmed that it was a much more complex problem than a cut cable and that the origin of the fault remains undetermined to this day. There have already been several interventions upstream of the Maison de Santé, and he announces that they will make an emergency trip from this Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning at the latest.
