Thanks to an acquaintance, he had a prototype cabin for Covid-19 consultations made.
This futuristic module has just arrived in Fronton where it was first assembled and made available to a doctor for a test phase which should be done this Wednesday evening. It is therefore too early to draw conclusions even if all hopes rest on this strange machine known only to a few researchers … It is not indeed a total construction but an imagined adaptation between a specialist in this kind of cabin and the doctor from Fronton. Jérôme Marty is sure that this step in the fight against the virus is essential: “I think there is an urgent need to better protect health care workers and in particular doctors in screening centers. So I suggested to a friend that we make this cabin identical to the one we see in Korea. It was necessary to adapt and strengthen the seal then modify a model. Now let’s test it. “
The doctor who will sit in front of his patient will be in front of a plexiglass window, his hands in gloves like a research laboratory. Some devices will be on the patient side. The consultation should then take place in a safe and easy way also for the practitioner. Jérôme Marty certainly hopes so. The doctor wanted this cabin not to dramatize more a situation which is already quite stressful, on the contrary … He believes that it is necessary to take advantage of a “correct” regional situation and “rather below the national average by continuing to make efforts. We are a little less affected also because of our way of using public transport and perhaps also because we do not have the TGV which also circulates the virus very quickly! “, He estimates.
