The name of the car derives from the merger of the French terms Haute Couture (high fashion) and Voiture (car). This underlines the exclusivity of the more expensive Mercedes S-Class W223.
The Mercedes-Maybach S680 Haute Voiture is recognizable by its distinctive two-tone paintwork and custom black 20-inch wheels. In the manufacture of the salon, not only leather and wood were used, but also expensive bouclé fabric. The pads are made of artificial leather.
Also, the graphics of the multimedia system have been changed. As in all Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, separate electric seats with ventilation and massage are installed in the rear.
