Frölunda’s first chain with companies Strömwall, Ruohomaa and Friberg had a playhouse against Växjö at the beginning of the first period. Before ten minutes were played, forward Malte Strömwall had scored three goals.
The first goal came already after 78 seconds after a nice preparatory work by Linus Högberg and Mikael Ruohomaa. The latter has been successful since he was signed from Modo in the middle of the season. Ruohomaa also assisted Strömwall’s second goal which he scored from a free position.

“He cheats a little there”
Two minutes after 2–0, the 29-year-old completed his hat-trick after corralling the puck through Växjö’s goalkeeper Emil Larmi. It was his second goal scored behind the extended goal line.

– My first thought is to go around the kitchen. But he cheats a little so I try to poke it in at the calf. I know that I create an incredible amount and have not doubted it for a second. If you do good things for a long time, you usually get a good result.
Strömwall now has eleven goals and 19 assists for Frölunda during the SHL season.
Växjö then reduced twice before Ruohomaa and Friberg collaborated to make it 4-2 for Frölunda.
The Gothenburgers won the match 5–3 and have the longest ongoing winning streak in the SHL with seven straight wins.
