Omar Elabdellaoui (28) has finished at Olympiakos after six years in the Greek big club. The national team defender’s agent says a decision on a new club will be made next week.
– Now is the time to separate teams, and I write this with tears in my eyes. Words can not describe how privileged I have been to play and be captain of this team, writes Elabdellaoui on Instagram when he confirms that he is leaving the Greek big club after six years in Greece.
Where the journey goes is not yet known, but according to the 28-year-old’s agent, the national team player has several offers to choose from.
– He has offers on the table that he is considering – a decision on the club will be made next week, writes Elabdellaoui’s agent Mikail Adampour in an SMS to VG.
The agent does not wish to comment further at this time.
– Right now he must have peace of mind to think about the next choice in his career, writes Adampour, who represents the player together with Omar Elabdellaoui’s brother, Rachid.
Elabdellaoui joined Olympiakos in 2014 and his last match was a 0-1 loss to Wolverhampton when the Greeks were eliminated from the Europa League this week.
– It has been an honor to be captain of this massive club – especially this season where we have had the best season in recent history, writes Elabdellaoui about his six years in the Greek big club.
