Haru, a Baby Girl in India Born Without Both Hands and Feet

Latest viral news: A baby girl in India was born with no hands and feet for the shocked doctors.

Padangkita.com – Recently the Indian medical team was shocked by the birth of a baby girl born without both hands and feet.

This was successful in making the doctor confused because previously the condition of the prospective baby had been confirmed to be completely normal while in the womb of the mother.

Reporting from Daily Star on Sunday (28/2020), the incident occurred in Madhya Pradesh, India.

The doctors were shocked after a baby girl born to a family in Sakla Village, Sironj Tehsil in Vidisha was born with a rare condition.

According to medical science, this rare condition in baby girls is known as autosomal recessive or Tetra-Amelia recessive disorder.

This disorder is usually characterized by the condition of babies born with no hands and feet.

Tetra-Amelia Syndrome itself is a genetic disorder caused by mutations in the WNT3 gene (Wnt Family Member 3).

Generally this condition is very rare in newborns. Plus, this condition can be detected since the baby is still in the mother’s womb via ultrasound.

So far the syndrome can affect one in 100,000 newborns.
