“Harrison Ford Receives Honorary Golden Palm at Cannes for New Film Premiere: Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny”

Hollywood legend Harrison Ford surprisingly received an honorary Golden Palm at the Cannes Film Festival on Thursday evening. His new film will be released at the film festival on Thursday Indiana Jones and the dial of destiny in premiere.

“I am very touched by this award,” said the 80-year-old American actor. Thierry Frémaux, the general representative of the festival, presented him with the honorary Golden Palm. The festival had announced that it would pay an “exceptional tribute” to Ford, but did not provide further details.

Ford has played numerous roles in Hollywood films, from Han Solo in the Star wars-saga tot Blade Runner. Since 1981 he also plays the famous archaeologist with hat and whip, in the first film in the series: Raiders of the lost ark.

Earlier, the American actor Michael Douglas (78) had also received an honorary Golden Palm during the opening ceremony of the film festival. Last year, that honor fell to Tom Cruise, who directed his film Top gun: Maverick came to introduce.
