Hansa U 19 have their first victory in the Bundesliga

Breathe a sigh of relief at the U 19 of FC Hansa Rostock: On Saturday, the youngsters of the Baltic Sea city team won their first season win in the A-Junioren-Bundesliga Nord / Nordost. In the 4-2 (1-0) home win against Viktoria Berlin, the Rostockers even gambled away a 2-0 lead in the meantime. They didn’t let that throw them off course, however.

“That was certainly not our best game, but the win is not undeserved and is okay in terms of height,” said Hansa coach Uwe Ehlers. His team allowed little behind in the first round. Up front, the hosts did not play off some counter-situations well enough. Therefore, a penalty had to serve as the opening goal. Hasip Korkmazyürek took the penalty that Theo Martens converted.

After the break, it was the aim of the Hanseatic team to quickly get the second hit and they succeeded. Randy Dei was there after a corner. “After that, however, we tried to manage the game,” stated Ehlers. His protégés strengthened the Berliners, who had previously remained largely harmless. Diren-Mehmet Günay (57th) brought Viktoria back into the game with a worth seeing and deflected long shot goal. The guest kicker was also there in the 73rd minute with a direct free kick goal – 2: 2.

“After that, we are lucky that the game does not completely tip over,” commented Ehlers. After the Berlin Marwin Kruse put the ball just over the Rostock, the home team went into the front again. Kjell Hildebrandt (78th) brought the ball into the goal after a shot from the crowd. A little later, Oliver Zajac decided the match with his goal to make it 4-2.

With their first win after two league defeats, FC Hansa moved up to tenth place in the table. The next opponent is Hallesche FC next Sunday away.
