The aircraft manufacturer has delivered a short- and medium-range jet to Tibet. This means that only 20 Airbus A319s are missing from an important brand.
For orders and cancellations, May was a completely uneventful month for Airbus. Neither did a customer order planes, nor did they unsubscribe. In the meantime, the European aircraft manufacturer was able to deliver 24 aircraft despite the Corona crisis.
23 of these jets belonged to the latest generation of Airbus aircraft: two A220-300, twelve A320 Neo, five A321 Neo, two A350-900 and two A350-1000. Among them was an A350-900 that Lufthansa Technik took over and has now converted to a German government aircraft. The Zurich business jet specialist Comlux has received another A320 Neo.
Young Ceo fleet in Tibet
Another delivery, however, is more exciting: On May 29, Airbus handed over an old-generation A319 to Tibet Airlines. The airline operates a pure Airbus fleet of Ceo-Jets (Current Engine Option) with 23 A319, six A320 and five A330. Although it does not fly a single Neo, the fleet is only around four and a half years old on average.
Airbus has now delivered 1480 copies of the A319 Ceo. The manufacturer will hardly crack the 1500 mark of the aircraft with the Ceo variant. Because only six of the planes are still in the books as open orders. Two of them are file corpses: They are noted for Hamburg International, which has not been flying since 2010. The other four are for undisclosed customers.

Meanwhile, Airbus could use orders well for the A319 Neo. The aircraft manufacturer can only register 84 orders and two deliveries for the aircraft. At least it will be enough to bring the A319 – if you ignore the Ceo-Neo question – to the mark of 1,500 deliveries. 20 planes are still missing.
