Hamilton secured his seventh title in Turkey two weeks ago, equaling Michael Schumacher’s record. The 35-year-old British driver also lost the former famous Ferrari driver this season to the maximum in the number of victories he has three races to 94 before the end of the season.

Today, Hamilton finished 98th in his career position with a time of 1: 27.264 and beat Bottase by 289,000ths. Verstappen was four tenths behind the third place and his teammate Alexander Albon, who equaled the qualifying maximum with the fourth place, lost one second.

And that Hamilton again! Famous Briton Lewis Hamilton won the Formula 1 Bahrain Grand Prix.

“This shows what we can do as a team. I’m constantly amazed at how hard everyone is working here. And it’s been three weeks without families. I appreciate it,” Hamilton said. “Today I thought I would enjoy it here when we are no longer under pressure to fight for the title. And it was a great relief to go the way I rode. I was happy with the performance,” he added.

Hamilton will attack the eleventh victory of the season from first place on Sunday, which would equal the personal maximum. If he managed to win the three remaining Grand Prix, he would equal the thirteen triumphs record, which Schumacher currently shares with Sebastian Vettel of Ferrari, who did not do well today.

A year ago, the drivers of the Italian team Charles Leclerc and Vettel took first and second place at the start, today they dropped out in the second part of the qualification. The four-time world champion Vettel will start from the eleventh place and Leclerc, who was deprived of a comfortable victory in Sáchir last year in Sáchir, from the twelfth position.

Sunday’s Bahrain Grand Prix, in which Hamilton will defend last year’s victory, will begin at 3:10 p.m.
