TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – The Ministry of Transportation and the Indonesian Air Force on January 21, 2022 informed that Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, East Jakarta will be temporarily closed starting January 26, 2022 in the context of revitalization according to Presidential Decree No. 9 of 2022.

In line with that, PT Angkasa Pura II as the manager of Halim Perdanakusuma Airport on Saturday, January 22, 2022, began to run a flight operational shift scenario to 5 recipient airports, namely Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Tangerang), Husein Sastranegara Airport (Bandung), Kertajati Airport (Majalengka), Pondok Cabe Airport (Jakarta) and Budiarto Airport (Tangerang).

President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin said, the scenario for this flight operational transfer has been formulated by the Operation Readiness and Airport Transfer (ORAT) team which was formed Angkasa Pura II.

“The ORAT team together with stakeholders including the Ministry of Transportation, the Airport Authority Office Region I, AirNav Indonesia, airlines and ground handling have prepared a displacement scenario about two months ago,” said Awaluddin, Sunday (23/1/2022).

Awaluddin also mentioned that there are 21 flight operators consisting of 2 scheduled commercial airlines, 17 non-scheduled commercial airlines and 2 cargo airlines, with a total fleet of 67 aircraft, plus 12 military aircraft that will move operations from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport to the airport. recipient.

Unscheduled commercial flight transfer

The operational shift of the unscheduled commercial airline fleet will begin on January 22-25, 2022.
