The Half-Life series is one of the most popular titles of all time. Although Valve has been silent about the sequel for a long time, in 2020 we got probably the best VR game to date, Half-Life: Alyx. The problem arises if you want to play the game but don’t have a VR headset. But that is now thanks to fashion “NoVR” past and you can play the last part of the series on any computer if you meet the hardware requirements.
Mode “NoVR” changes Half-Life: Alyx in several ways. For example, handles and doors that you normally had to open using the VR controller and move with your hand, are now opened with the use key. You also use this for gravity gloves.

There are of course a few more things that need to be added to the mod. Developers due to the complexity of the HUD implementation from Half-Life: Alyx they reached for the old interface from Half-Life 2. Of course, a lot of animations are missing, and the game simply shows that it was made for VR. But basically nothing prevents you from finishing the game if you can chew through some concessions. The mod can be downloaded from the website moddb and that’s completely free.
