Hala Sedky Honored at Cairo Drama Festival for Jaafar El-Omda Series

Actress Hala Sedky expressed her happiness at being honored during the Cairo Drama Festival for her role in the Jaafar El-Omda series, a work she described as having achieved an unprecedented follow-up rate.

During a telephone interview with the “Ninth” program on Channel One, on Friday evening, she said that she was happy to receive the Special Jury Award for the role of “Safsaf” in the Jaafar Al-Omda series, noting that she had received very positive reactions from the audience since the series was shown.

She also praised the holding of the festival in El Alamein, in light of the strong relationship she has with the city, saying: “I am the first one to live in El Alamein, and I never imagined that it would be in this view and in this global form.”

And Hala expressed her aspiration for an international film festival to be held as well in the coming period.

And she talked about the developments of her artistic work, as she begins today, Saturday, filming her scenes in the movie “Kawtani’s Shoulder”, which is directed by Sameh Abdelaziz.

The new city of El Alamein hosted the second session of the Cairo Drama Festival, headed by the great artist, Yehia El-Fakharani.

The second session this year was titled “60 Years of Drama” to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the production and broadcast of the first Egyptian drama.
