Haindling cancels all concerts of the 2023 summer tour and the finale in Munich. Due to illness, the Bavarian cult band could no longer perform.

Munich – Bad news for fans of Haindling – due to illness, the Bavarian cult band is canceling all concerts on their 2023 summer tour.

The reason is that frontman Hans-Jürgen Buchner (78) has to undergo another operation, Haindling said on Facebook. “It is foreseeable that the convalescence period can last until late summer.”

Buchner had already had two operations before Christmas and now needs another operation, reports the dpa.

Haindling had planned at least nine open-air and indoor concerts in Bavaria between June and August, the finale was to take place in the fountain courtyard of the Residenz in Munich. Tickets that have already been sold can now be returned.

“As soon as it is foreseeable when Jürgen Buchner can be back on stage, we will set new dates,” the band promised. Numerous Facebook users left wishes for the Haindling boss to get well.

Buchner is the head of the group, which he once named after his place of residence, the Lower Bavarian village of Haindling, a district of Geiselhöring in the Straubing-Bogen district. In the 1980s, the band became known during the Neue Deutsche Welle with the song “Lang scho nimma g’sehn”. Later the singer and multi-instrumentalist also became popular as a film musician. His song “Pfeif on it”, for example, is the theme song of the successful ZDF series “Die Rosenheim Cops”.
