Hagen with the first countable 2 points! | News

Even the start turned out for the green and yellow as one would normally dream of. And with the expected starting line-up, which was nevertheless slightly different than in the past few weeks: Valentin Schmidt and Pouya Norouzi had swapped positions in attack, the Iranian international held the position of playmaker. A good decision, because Norouzi used the deep spaces in the initially offensive HSG defense right from the start, which often did not defend collectively but at best individually.

Key word defence: Here, too, the guests, who were playing all in black, were immediately on the ball. Fast legs, the right distance to the opponent and a wide awake Maurice Paske in the back – that was quickly reflected in very pleasing numbers. For six minutes Hagen was “zero”, at 1: 6 HSG coach Jörg Lützelberger tried the first time-out and made a large change. On the other hand, Eintracht kept the pressure on, after Theo Bürgin’s double strike and Pierre Busch’s goal, they even rushed to 11:2 (17 th ). Only Konstanz goalkeeper Leon Grabenstein – a swords boy by the way – prevented Eintracht from pulling further away.

From Hagen’s point of view, it is quite understandable that things could not continue in this style. With a 3-0 run, the home side at least got a foot on the ground, Stefan Neff took the first team timeout. Eight goalless Eintracht minutes ended again with Pierre Busch (6:12/24.). At the break, Eintracht was in the lead 14:8 in a game in which the number of technical errors had increased significantly.

The story of the 2nd half is quickly told. Eintracht confidently managed their lead, which usually fluctuated between six and eight goals. The basis remained the attentive defence, including both goalkeepers. After 48 minutes, Konstanz reduced the goal to five goals for the first time – into the empty Eintracht goal, because the green and yellow team now had seven outfield players. Pierre Busch and Valentin Busch stifled any hope in the hall with their goals to 19:26.

And then it was over in the Schänzle sports hall. Cheering at Eintracht, the goat has been knocked over. Only on the 4th matchday, but from now on the results are also improving…
