Vulnerability exploited multiple times

The hackers, in fact, had access to the telephone numbers and SMS registration codes of 1,900 registered users on Signal. This theoretically allows previously unknown attackers to connect new devices to their respective user accounts and send messages on behalf of users. According to the information available, the hackers only managed to do this for three users. However, as a precaution, Signal informed all 1,900 members who were at the mercy of the security breach of the incident and advised them to activate the so-called registration lock.
