Manchester City beat success Bayern Munich 1-0 in pre-season. Erling Haaland emerged as a Man City hero after his goal determined the outcome of the game.

Man City took the initiative to attack first. A brilliant start was created after Erling Haaland opened the scoring only after 12 minutes.
From Jack Grealish’s free kick, Dayot Upamecano secures the ball. Kevin de Bruyne’s header for Grealish was followed by a low cross, which Haaland quickly grabbed from in front of goal. Man City lead 1-0 over Bayern Munich.
Sabitzer tried his luck with a shot from outside the penalty box. The ball only narrowly wide of the Man City goal.
Bayern tried to counterattack further, but could be thwarted by Manchester City’s back line.
Before the match even rolled half an hour, Man City even almost added his goal. Rodri’s header from a corner put Neuer out of action, but the ball was still off the mark.
Haaland scored his second goal in the dying minutes of the first half, but the goal was disallowed. Bernardo Silva was already in an offside position when he crossed for Haaland before finishing.
Bayern responded. Kingsley Coman’s cross from the right wing was followed by Leroy Sane with a low pass but Serge Gnabry failed to reach the ball in front of goal. Score 1-0 for Man City’s advantage lasted until halftime.
Julian Alvarez claimed a penalty after being fouled by a Bayern player, but was denied by the referee. The tempo of the match continued to decline, but Bayern then created opportunities even though Gnabry again failed to finish them.
Manchester City again almost scored his second goal. In the 78th minute, Rico Lewis weaved his way through the Bayern back line before firing a shot that hit the post.
