Real Madrid reportedly ready to accommodate Erling Haaland after the Norwegian bomber had asked to be sold from Manchester City.

Haaland has reportedly asked his agent, Rafaela Pimenta, to get him out of Man City. Quoted from ASPimenta admits that there is a clause that can make Haaland leave Man City if he is not happy with the club.

“If tomorrow the player is not happy there, or he is not paid well, or even the player’s wife wants to move to Paris, then the player has to move. I don’t like it when the player is not free to choose,” said Pimenta.

Pimenta further claims that one of the reasons why Haaland accepted Man City’s proposal earlier this season was that he could be coached by Pep Guardiola. If Guardiola leaves the club because of the case currently facing Man City, then Haaland will also leave the Etihad Stadium.

Quoted from Football Espana, Madrid are reportedly interested in recruiting Haaland if the 22-year-old striker leaves Man City at the end of this season.

Man City recruited Haaland from Borussia Dortmund for only 60 million euros. The former Red Bull Salzburg player has a contract release clause of £175 million at Man City.

Haaland is one of the players that Madrid needs, considering that Karim Benzema is no longer young. Even though Benzema has just won the 2022 Ballon d’Or, El Real’s management cannot turn a blind eye to the French striker, who is already 35 years old.

Haaland is not the only target for Madrid next season. Los Blancos are also claimed to be eyeing Jude Bellingham from Dortmund who is being plotted as a replacement for Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.

Man City itself was accused of having committed more than 100 financial violations in the Premier League. The Premier League also revealed that Man City had also violated several UEFA rules, including FFP, from 2013 to 2018.

The violation made The Citizens threatened with a number of severe penalties, including relegation from the Premier League.
