Gymnasts Honor Victory Day with Concert at Irina Viner Gymnastics Palace

Concerts at the Irina Viner Gymnastics Palace have already become a tradition. Sometimes they pass just like that, but more often — in honor of the holidays. So, on May 9 there was a thematic show dedicated to the Victory Day.

Before the beginning Irina Viner spoke to reporters and spoke about the importance of this event.

Now before this concert I’m more worried than during the competition. Here, our girls and live music should merge in one burst of gratitude. I don’t have words to explain how important this is. For us, this is the most important event this year.

After the competition in the evening we had rehearsals, they have been going on for many days. Many regions have arrived. We are used to it, we have to work, tomorrow we have another concert with a symphony orchestra and opera stars. We must show that we are very versatile.

Girls love competitions and are very fond of concerts.

Performing at concerts is not difficult, but pleasant, you need to show expressiveness, they don’t give marks here. It is undesirable to mow, but here you can always get out of the situation.

This is a holiday with tears in the eyes. It turned out that at the “Let’s Bow” number we all cried ourselves, because it was impossible to hold back the tears. I was not worried, it is a great honor to speak to veterans, this is a responsible day. The only difficulty is holding back your tears during the performance.

It is much more pleasant for me to perform to live music than to a phonogram. In concerts, you perform not for evaluation, but for the audience and from the heart.

There was no unrest, there was pride in our country. I want to say a huge thank you to Irina Alexandrovna for the opportunity to take part in such concerts. We performed for veterans, spectators in the hall and television viewers. This inspired us a lot.

There were no difficulties, because there were emotions. As Irina Alexandrovna says, when you enter the stream, you don’t think about any excitement.

It’s a little more difficult to perform to live music, you might miss the chord. It’s great that we have this opportunity.
