Gulfood 2023 reinforces Dubai’s reputation as a global food and beverage hub

The Republic of Lithuania is participating, with a national pavilion, in the Gulfood 2023 exhibition, which will be held at the Dubai World Trade Center from February 20-24. Kostutis Navicas, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania, expressed his happiness at the opening of his country’s national pavilion at Gulfood 2023 in Dubai, the world’s largest food supply event. He praised the efforts of the organizers of the Gulfood exhibition for its importance in enhancing cooperation between food and beverage communities in the world, adopting the slogan of creativity and change, to represent a center for sector trends and a global force in the field of supply.
The Lithuanian Minister of Agriculture said that the Gulfood 2023 exhibition enhances Dubai’s reputation as a global center for food and beverages, and also supports the UAE’s position in pioneering the process of transforming the sector and efforts to address the crises it faces globally.
The pavilion includes the leading products of dozens of Lithuanian companies in the field of food industries, which employ the latest technologies in agriculture, production, packaging, and export to the Gulf and international markets. During their participation in this event, the members of the Lithuanian delegation are urged to shed light on the extent of development of the food and beverage sector in Lithuania and the success stories that have been achieved in this sector, in addition to future plans and the status of agro-food industries in the world today.

On the other hand, there will be an inaugural program for the Lithuanian delegation at the “Inspire” conference accompanying the Gulfood 2023 exhibition, with the participation and presence of Kostutis Navicas, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania, Dr. and veterinary medicine in the Republic of Lithuania;
Laurinas Mackenez of the AGUA Group will also participate in the event to discuss the impacts of sustainable food production, renewable methodologies, and shorter chains in the food industry. It will also review the importance of establishing strict controls for the food certification and classification process. He will talk about informed food production, consumption chains, and demand expectations, in addition to the importance of educating consumers and building trust and transparency, which are among the most important factors that contribute to the development of this sector.
