With the most recent modification of the Animal Control and Assistance Center (CECAA) towards the consolidation of a Free Veterinary Hospital by the Municipal Government of Guanajuato, the staff is now preparing for the application of the anti-rabies vaccine for pets starting March 17 .
In an interview, the head of the Municipal Health Directorate, David Donato Garnica, reported that they are already preparing for his addiction to begin in mid-March since the procedure with the Ministry of Health has already been done.
“We are requesting some doses, there are 500 preliminarily that we will be applying and the moment we enter for these vaccines is when they start because there is programming by zones and that people approach the animal control center” he detailed.

Furthermore, if some areas that the management detects are not considered within the vaccination schedule, that is where the CECAA comes in, said Donato Garnica.
“We are calling on the population to come. “We are providing the service in CECAA with a share of co-responsibility and being aware of what it means to have a companion animal, its veterinary care, food, protection and giving it timely health care and this is given on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. It costs 370 pesos for males and 518 for females” Donato Garnica highlighted.
