Guanajuato has not received doses of seven of the most important vaccines – El Sol de Salamanca

The state of Guanajuato has not received the scheduled doses of vaccines from the federation in 2022, the lack of immunizations will cause a resurgence of preventable diseases such as outbreaks of measles, tuberculosis or cervical cancer.

The federal deputy, Éctor Jaime Ramírez Barba, reported through a statement that in Guanajuato “is being punished by the federal government in access to vaccines, because it has not received from the federation not even a single dose of 7 of the most important vaccines to prevent diseases that can be deadly”.

He announced that 15,440 doses of biological Pneumococcus 23 were expected to be received this year, however not a single dose of the triple viral vaccine (SRP) arrived, 329,650 vaccines had been scheduled, only 2,730 were obtained, that is, one per percent, the same thing happened with the influenza vaccine that was expected 1,138,100, in the same way no doses arrived as well as hepatitis B 20 MCG.

“In Mexico, the National Health and Nutrition Survey (ENSANUT) 2021 published a few days ago has set off an alarm in the country, documenting that only 27.5% of one-year-old boys and girls had a complete scheme, when in 2015 the complete scheme was 97.2% and 57% last year 2020“, you can read.

It reveals that complete vaccination coverage up to two years is only 31.1 percent, this has caused parents not to find vaccines for their children in medical units throughout the country.

ENSANUT also reports that vaccination coverage against measles and rubella in adults aged 20 to 59 years was 16.6% according to the national health card.
