GTA VI trailer breaks records, tens of millions of people watched it » Vortex

For at least a day, nothing but Grand Theft Auto VI will probably be talked about. Of course, we mean The Game Awards, which will no doubt attract a lot of attention with all kinds of announcements, but until then – GTA VI is simply the number one topic and cannot be ignored. Beyond the video itself or our analysis yesterday, the current news revolves around performance trailer itself and the fact that, like Rockstar’s recent posts on social media, it’s breaking records.

YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson alias Mr. Beast and noted that GTA VI had just broken his own video’s record for the most views in a single day. This happened when the trailer on Rockstar’s official channel crossed the then 46 million mark, but in fact the first video from GTA VI climbed almost twice as many views. It then hit the 100 million view mark in about 26 hours, and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down much after that. However, we note that music videos are excluded from this ranking, and in this respect the GTA VI trailer still has a lot to catch up on, the video and developers can be happy that the first GTA trailer has already passed 100 million views IN.

In addition to their own viewings, however, there are also various reactions from people who were in close contact with Rockstar or directly with the Grand Theft Auto series. This is, for example, the actor Ned Luke, who lent his voice to Michael from GTA V. On his own YouTube channel, he answered a question about what surprised him the most, and it must be recognized that he expressed himself in the spirit that we would expect from one of the main characters of the previous GTA installment they expected. “The big asses. That’s really surprising. There are really big asses in that video,” said Luke. He explained that there are people with lesser backgrounds in Miami, but he doesn’t criticize the game in any way and states that he will simply wait and see how things turn out. Additionally, his stream wasn’t all about asses, he praised the game in general for its excellent graphics and atmosphere, and was vocal about the fact that a female protagonist doesn’t automatically mean a “woke” game. “Female heroes have been around for a long time,” Luke noted, including a few snarky words toward people who use terms like “woke” and “propaganda” as spinners.

With GTA VI and the monster wave of interest and anticipation, there was also speculation as to whether the success of GTA VI would prevent Rockstar from developing more games. According to some opinions, the Red Dead Redemption series may be in danger, but the voice actor of Arthur Morgan, the protagonist of the second part, does not think so. To a question he received on Twitter, he answered quite clearly: “I’m sure that RDR 3 will happen. I have no idea when that will happen,” wrote Roger Clark. He also explained that he probably won’t be around anymore, as he too considers Arthur’s story to be complete.
