Grigor Dimitrov defeated the German Alexander Zverev 6:4, 6:7(4), 6:4 and qualified for the final of the tennis tournament of the “Masters 1000” series in Miami, BTA reported.
He will fight for the trophy with the Italian Yannick Siner, who eliminated Daniil Medvedev in the other semi-final. Grigor will thus have the chance to win his second Masters 1000 title after his triumph in Cincinnati in 2017.
With his ranking in the final, the 32-year-old Bulgarian, who is currently 12th in the world rankings, will enter the Top 10 from Monday. Dimitrov has lost his last seven matches against Zverev. His only win against the Russian with a German passport came in their first fight in 2014.
Grigor Dimitrov believes that the basis of his recent successes is the solid work they do with the coaching team. The former world No. 3 reached the final of the Masters 1000 in Miami and returned to the top 10 of the rankings. At the tournaments in the USA, he is with coach Jamie Delgado, his father Dimitar and physiotherapist Nicolas Marois.

After the first set, he played better in the second, and especially in the tiebreak he showed his true class.
