Gintautas Pangonis, President of Grigeo and the main shareholder of the group of companies, explained to Verslo žinios that the “millionth theft” related to the purchase of starch raw materials through the companies established by the former executives of Grigeo Klaipėda and Algol Chemicals and persons related to them allegedly lasted nine years, from 2011 to 2019. spring. Previously, paints and starches were purchased directly from Algol chemicals by Klaipėda Cardboard Company, and after the establishment of UAB ChemTrade LT, raw materials were purchased through this company and its subsidiary Sago Industries LTD.

The company’s lawyer Jūratė Ramanauskaitė stated that the decision could be appealed.
