Greater Bay Area Cross-Border Direct Ambulance Pilot Scheme Authorities have limited registration for doctors from the Mainland or Macau
A Legislative Council committee discussed the Greater Bay Area cross-border through ambulance trial plan. The Secretary for Medical and Health, Mr Lo Chung-moo, said that the plan will be implemented on a first-to-trial basis and then to transport patients southward. He said that the two pilot hospitals include Macau Peak Hospital and HKU-Shenzhen Hospital. If Hong Kong residents are hospitalized due to acute illness or accident but their condition is stable, they can be sent back to Hong Kong for treatment via cross-border ambulance.
