Great powers can surprisingly come to an agreement

For six years there was nothing going on in the UN on the subject of cybersecurity. The fronts between the world powers had hardened. Now, for the first time, all member states have been able to agree on recommendations – thanks in part to Switzerland.

Attacks on IT systems are becoming an increasing threat – Switzerland is therefore committed to international agreements.

Relations between the cyber superpowers USA, Russia and China are bad. In the past few months, two spectacular cases of cyber espionage have become known, behind which there are most likely state-supported groups from Russia or China: the so-called Solarwinds attack and the Exchange vulnerability. The US is threatening countermeasures.
