Great Britain asks Germany how to build a Corona app

Cooperation with Germany

In order to get the UK app ready as quickly as possible, the UK is said to have asked the German Ambassador Andreas Michaelis for help. In a tweet Michaelis writes that he has discussed a possible cooperation with the British health minister Matt Hancock.

The apps are intended to help save contacts via a digital “handshake”. If a contact has become infected, the app will inform you and can take further steps. Currently, the apps of the European countries cannot communicate with each other, but this should be possible in the long term.
