Gran Turismo Sport: Support will be shut down

The racing game “Gran Turismo Sport” has been on the market since October 2017. And since the launch, the title from Polyphony Digital has been regularly expanded with updates that include new vehicles and tracks in the PS4 game.

Support for “Gran Turismo Sport” is to be maintained in 2020 as well. However, the head of the studio writes on Twitter, the volume will be reduced this year. But three new vehicles will be launched in the coming week.

Kazunori Yamauchi on twitter literally: “[Das nächste] Update is coming next week. This year’s updates will be modest in terms of frequency and scope. ”

The tweet is once again accompanied by an image that shows the silhouettes of vehicles. This time there are only three of them. And the first fans were already starting to speculate about the vehicles. It seems that the following speedsters are included:

  • Fiat 500
  • Nissan 180SX
  • Aston Martin DBR9

The new vehicles are not given a surprising appearance. Recently we were able to get one thanks to a gameplay video View of part of the new addition toss. An appointment was not given.

Gran Turismo for PS5 coming?

As the support of “Gran Turismo Sport” is slowly coming to an end, it can be assumed that Polyphony Digital will increasingly work on the next part of the popular racing game series. It may be one of the first racing games for the PS5, which will be released towards the end of the year. The new “Gran Turismo” has not yet been officially unveiled.
