Attending to, five high-ranking officials at the Civil Aviation Authority, who were fired in the aftermath of the scandal, could end up on the prosecution bench.

A preliminary investigation report has concluded that the accident was caused by human failure, both with the pilot and the air traffic controller.

According to Pakistan’s aviation minister, the pilots discussed the corona pandemic while trying to land the plane. They had switched off the plane’s autopilot.
