The tram drove around Amsterdam from 1959 to 2004, then the streets of Poland, and now it may soon be in your garden.

The bids are already pouring in; the highest bid is now 10 thousand euros. Many ironmongers in particular have responded, Mark Vermeulen, a volunteer at the Museumtramlijn, tells NH Nieuws. “We prefer to sell the tram to someone who will reuse the vehicle, for example as a tiny house or meeting room.”

He asks 5 thousand euros from a hardware store. But someone who wants to do ‘something creative’ with it can take the tram for 2 thousand. “As far as I’m concerned, the tram is sold to the person with the craziest idea,” says Vermeulen.
