Goyang City (Mayor Jae-joon Lee) announced that the’Complex Community Center Creation Project’, a core project for urban regeneration in Ilsan, was approved by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport on December 22, and construction started in 2021 and is in earnest. Ilsan’Complex Community Center Creation Project’ signed an agreement with Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) on July 28 and is jointly implemented.

The Ilsan Complex Community Center project consists of 2 apartment buildings (132 happy houses, 15 floors or less) in the whole area of ​​655-733 Ilsan-dong, Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang-si (3,970.00㎡, total floor area: 20,247.62㎡), and an auxiliary welfare facility 1 public health center and a complex community center. It is a project to create one building. A project cost of 78.85 billion won (KRW 81.57 billion from the National Housing Fund) will be invested, and the project will be promoted from December 22, 2020, the date of notification of approval, to March 2023.

The city said that the other projects of the Ilsan Urban Regeneration New Deal project will also receive momentum as the project to establish a complex community center, a core project of the Ilsan Urban Regeneration New Deal, has received final approval from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.

An official from Goyang City said, “With the approval of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the foundation for the core business of the Ilsan Urban Regeneration New Deal project has been laid down.” “We will provide national and public childcare facilities that allow local residents to safely and comfortably leave their children to work and solve problems such as lack of jobs.”
