Good response to Zero Rejection Vaccine in macromodule of CAT Tlajomulco

TLAJOMULCO DE ZÚÑIGA, Jal., March 20, 2022.- Given the call from the Jalisco Health Secretariat to participate in the “zero rejection in the application of the BCG vaccine” campaign against tuberculosis on Saturday, the Administrative Center of Tlajomulco received to dozens of girls and boys to complete vaccination schedules and among them recover the dose of the vaccine also known as the “newborn”.

The mothers, fathers or guardians of 110 minors attended the application of the BCG vaccine that protects against meningeal tuberculosis, one of the most serious forms of tuberculosis.

Likewise, 200 doses were applied against influenza, 80 hexavalent (against six diseases), 120 measles and rubella (MR), 65 triple viral (SRP), 69 against pneumococcus, thirteen against rotavirus and 40 against diphtheria, whooping cough and tetanus. (PTD).

All the doses applied in the current campaign are aimed at children and are included in the National Health Booklet.

This day was part of the intensification campaign carried out by the SSJ from March 18 to April 18, 2022, in order to recover the BCG vaccine in girls and boys. On working days and hours, 429 health centers distributed throughout the state applying whoever requests it.

Children under five are one of the groups vulnerable to tuberculosis; infectious and communicable disease, so it is recommended to vaccinate all newborns, if for some reason it was not received at birth, it can be applied up to 13 years 11 months of age.

In the “zero rejection” campaign, 429 health centers and 25 hospitals of the Jalisco Health Services OPD participate, distributed in the 125 municipalities of the state.

Units of the Social Security and Services Institute for State Workers (ISSSTE) and the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) of Jalisco also participate.
