Good preparation, Anthony and Chico Steady towards the Asian Championship

Indonesian Badminton Anthony Sinisuka Ginting and Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo optimistic towards Mixed Team Badminton Asia Championships 2023. Both preparations are claimed to be okay.

Indonesia is known to have sent 16 players to participate in the Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championship 2023 which will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from 14-19 February.

Of the number of players sent by Merah Putih, one of them was men’s singles Anthony Sinisuka Ginting. Apart from Ginting, Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo is also included in the Indonesian squad.

The two of them will work hand in hand in the championship which will use a format like the Sudirman Cup.

Good Ginting and Chico said they were very ready to fight in the championship. After participating in the Indonesia Masters event in Jakarta, at the end of last January, the two of them immediately focused on practicing to perform in Dubai.

“My preparations were okay for the Asian mixed team championship. After playing the Indonesia Masters, I was indeed prepared for this championship. I am in good condition and ready to fight,” said Ginting, in a PBSI release.

The same thing was also conveyed by Chico regarding his readiness to appear in the mixed team championship this time.

Chico, who had caught the attention of world badminton after becoming the runner up for the 2023 Indonesia Masters, said that his condition is now much better. No injuries and ready to fight.

“I’m in good condition and fit. During the preparation I was also good. I don’t feel tired anymore after playing in the last Indonesia Masters. My body is fit,” Chico said.

Indonesia at the Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships last time won a bronze medal. They won third place four years ago when they faced Hong Kong. Indonesia won over Hong Kong with a score of 3-2.
