KNVB publishes Eredivisie match calendar
On Friday morning, the KNVB has announced the match days calendar for the coming season, in which flexibility has been built in with a view to a possible second corona wave. The union aims to finish the top games in the second half of the season as much as possible and the playoffs are about a single game. Contrary to previous reports, there will be no fixed Eredivisie game on Sunday evening.
Contrary to previous years, the battle for the Johan Cruijff Scale will not be the start of the season. The traditional competition has been canceled, as there has been no champion or cup winner last season.
The Dutch again pay as much with pin as for the corona crisis
The turnover of Dutch debit card payments has returned to the level of before the corona crisis, at more than 2.7 billion euros per week. The total number of debit card transactions is still slightly lower than before the corona crisis. Higher amounts are therefore debited as turnover has returned to pre-pandemic levels.
The vast majority of debit card payments (81 percent) are made contactless, this percentage has risen by approximately 12 percent since the corona crisis.

Zoo animals treated to ice and a cold shower
Animals in zoo Dierenrijk in Mierlo in Brabant were able to enjoy some cooling on Friday because of the warm weather. For example, caregivers’ elephants were given a cold shower and chimpanzees, ring-tailed lemurs and polar bears were treated to fruit ice creams.
The temperature in the zoo rose to 30 degrees on Friday. Mierlo is close to Eindhoven.

Liverpool champion for the first time in thirty years
Liverpool is Thursday night without playing for the first time in thirty years champion from England. The team of Virgil van Dijk and Georginio Wijnaldum took advantage of the 2-1 defeat of outgoing champion Manchester City on a visit to Chelsea.
Due to the corona measures, no real ceremony can take place for the time being, but there are already quite a few parties celebrated in the city.
