Goldman Sachs revises downwards its prediction for the US economy’s expansion following the banking crisis.

Goldman Sachs lowered its forecast for the growth of the US economy for the fourth quarter of 2023, due to risks in lending and the banking sector, according to CNBC.

According to the data of the US Bank today, Wednesday, the fifteenth of March, it expects the gross domestic product to grow by about 1.2% in the fourth quarter of this year, which is a level of about 0.3% less than previous estimates.

Goldman Sachs pointed to the continued concern of some banks, despite the US government’s measures to enhance financial stability.

Moody’s lowered its outlook for the US banking system to a “negative” outlook from stable, citing a rapidly deteriorating operating environment.

Investors are living in a state of fear at the present time, after the collapse of 3 US banks in one week, and with the emergence of a new similar crisis in Europe, led by Credit Suisse.
