Gold prices in the local market returned to decline during Thursday’s trading, as the 21-gram gram fell by 5 pounds, compared to yesterday’s level.

Club Naguib, Secretary General of the Gold Division of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, told Masrawy that the price of a 21-gram gold went down today to 795 pounds compared to 800 pounds yesterday.

The price of a gram of 18 carat gold was about 681 pounds, the price of a gram of 24 carat was about 909 pounds, and the price of a pound of gold reached 6360 pounds.

Globally, gold fell today, Thursday, near the peak of eight years that it reached in the previous session with the revival of strong data on manufacturing in the United States, and promising results for “Covid-19” vaccine tests for hopes of a rapid economic recovery, which limited the demand for safe havens, according to Reuters. .

Gold fell in immediate trading 0.2% to 1766.79 dollars an ounce by the time 0502 GMT, after recording the highest level since October 2012 yesterday, Wednesday, at 1788.96 dollars.

And gold prices in the local market rose during trading yesterday, Wednesday, by 4 pounds per gram at one go.
